Originally written for the New York Mets, for a show Frank was performing in at Hofstra University. Being from Chicago and a Cub fan as a youth, Lamphere modifed the lyrics for "his" team. Interestingly, this particular track was "on the shelf" from a session in 2019. Lamphere just recently finished the final vocal.
